Step-by-step guides for getting started with Claude Code, from installation to sustained research use. Work through them in order — each builds on the previous one.

Step 1 — Set up Claude Code

Install Git, Claude Code, and the optional tools (Pandoc, Python, Obsidian). Includes a first login and terminal basics. No programming experience required. Takes 10–15 minutes.

Step 2 — Complete your first project

Two-part hands-on exercise. Part A: clone the workshop repository and explore it with Claude. Part B: create a new research project directory with your own PDFs and run a real analysis session. Takes 50–60 minutes.

Step 3 — Build the habit

D.tutorial.first-month — Your First Month with Claude Code

One concrete action per week for four weeks. Moves you from "I got it working" to "I use this regularly" by anchoring Claude Code to your actual research files and questions.
