DISSINET ERC Project: Five Years of Research, Collaboration, and Community
-
10 September 2026
2:00 PM – 4:00 PM - kaFFe, Arna Nováka 1, Brno
Join us for an informal and celebratory afternoon marking the conclusion of the ERC-funded project “Networks of Dissent: Computational Modelling of Dissident and Inquisitorial Cultures in Medieval Europe” (DISSINET II, 9/2021–8/2026).
Following the more academically focused morning’s online presentations, this in-person gathering offers a more personal and reflective look at the past five years of the Dissident Networks research group at Masaryk University’s Faculty of Arts. Through a series of short speeches and visual materials, we will revisit the project’s achievements, collaborations, and shared experiences, before turning to ongoing initiatives and future directions of the research group that build on these results.
The afternoon program is designed to be accessible, lively, and interactive. It will feature:
Short, informal talks
Personal perspectives on DISSINET from different roles within the project – including research, technical support, and project coordination.
Reflections on collaboration and community
Insights into how DISSINET has fostered new partnerships and ongoing research initiatives.
Looking ahead
A forward-looking perspective on future projects, collaborations, and directions within DISSINET III phase
Visual Displays & Materials
Throughout the event, participants can explore a range of visual materials illustrating the project’s scope and creativity – such as posters, research highlights and selected publications; and visual presentations of digital tools and outputs at the background.
Refreshments will be provided.
